Learning with Games 2007

Objectives
The aim of “Learning with Games” is to promote excellence in the research, production and deployment of Serious Games to support the learning of individuals within the academic, industrial and business environments. The conference covers a wide range of topics, categorized into game development, game design, content creation, mobile games, production, business, user studies, and deployment. The conference will create a multi-disciplinary forum where researchers, developers, artists, producers and industrial and academic users come together to share ideas, knowledge and experience.

Moreover Learning with Games 2007 will be to showcase the new approach to the learning that can be achieved using games, making education and training fun and enjoyable.

The conference invites leaders from industry, government, funding agencies and academia to join together to exchange ideas/views on the new learning and training tools. Moreover attendees will also able to concretely see the results of these new approaches and evaluate their impact.

Your attendance at the Conference will offer an excellent opportunity both to disseminate the results of your research and projects and stimulate your concepts and ideas to launch innovative research collaborations and projects for the future. With a selected attendance, the Conference is the leading initiative to network with the top-level global industrial and scientific community of this area.

Audience
Learning with Games 2007 targets representatives from industry, industrial associations, funding and government agencies, the worldwide scientific and technical community, the learning and gaming project teams.

Call for Submissions
Parallel sessions are foreseen for the presentation of scientific/technical papers. The global gaming community is invited to exploit the conference to disseminate its scientific and technical results. Accepted papers will be published on the conference proceedings, which will be distributed to the participants when registering. A selection of the presented papers will be moreover published on special issues of the International Journal of Production Planning & Control published by Taylor&Francis.

Authors are invited to submit an extended abstracts via the web site by May 31st, 2007.

Extended abstracts must be at least 1500-word long and must be submitted in .doc format. After the submission of an abstract, the referring author will be acknowledged of the successful receipt and of the reference number which will identify the paper itself. Following the acceptance of the extended abstracts by the Scientific Committee, authors will be invited to submit a Full Paper. Detailed instructions for the submission of Full Papers will be sent to the authors of the selected abstracts.

Please consider that at least one author per paper must register and pay the conference fee by July 15th, 2007.
