Artists/Animators/Graphic Designers requirred for educational games project

Ebug logoThe European Commission funded e-Bug project (www.e-bug.eu) is seeking artists to work on a pack for schools and an accompanying series of online games.

The successful applicants will be provide graphics and layout design for the pack and website and will involved with every aspect of game visuals production, from high level concept design through to texturing and animating.

Because the abilities we require cover such a wide range, we are looking to employ artists who complement each other in order to have the full skill set required by the project.

Applicants must be available to work in London or Gloucester from May 2007 onwards for at least three months. Applicants must be able to manage tight deadlines and have the ability to travel throughout the region and nationally when required.

Job Responsibilities

Research

  • To research appropriate styles and approaches to game and pack visuals.
  • To help define an overall look and feel for both the primary and secondary versions of the e-Bug educational resource (pack and website)

Development

  • To design the layout and graphics for the pack.
  • To develop appropriate design and artwork to suit different ethnic and national groups.
  • To identify any problems with art assets that could cause issues when photocopying or printing resources or in any other area of the project.
  • To design, develop, model, light and animate characters, environments and interactive GUI elements for the e-Bug website and games.

Communication and Presentation

  • To liaise and work collaboratively with the web designer, pack designer and project coordinator and all relevant external agency and other project team members.
