Researchers into "Second Life" will be meeting at an event organised by the Royal Insitution of Great Britain (yep - the people who organise the Christmas Lectures) and the London Nature Network. Highlights include:

  • Dave Taylor from the National Physical Laboratory talking about a new area of "Second Life" devoted to science, and other scientific collaborations in SL.
  • Aleks Krotoski from the University of Surrey (and the Guardian) looking at how people form communities in virtual worlds
  • Jo Scott from Nature speaking on scientific demos in virtual worlds.

Even better, the event is free and there's no need to book.
