Blekinge Institute of Technology is searching for: University lecturer (Universitetsadjunkt) in Media Technology (Medieteknik)

Work description:
The duties include development of and education within the knowledge area of digital game technology with a focus on graphics programming in digital games. The service is mainly executed within the digital games program, which collaborates closely with the programs Medieteknik and digital sound production and the on-the-job-training school of future entertainment (SOFE). Therefore, the service requires expertise in technical and aesthetic areas giving form to processes within pedagogical activity, and qualified process guidance for students.

Requirements:
Authorized to be employed as subject teacher is it as has etc. diploma from fundamental college education within for the employment relevant matter or has corresponding competence has undergone university level education or on other ways acquired corresponding knowledge has shown pedagogical dexterity.

Assessment reasons and the weight of different areas:
The scientific environment that will need to be handled is everything from fundamental C++ to advanced DirectX, middlewares as for example Ogre 3D, PhysX, Audiere, scripting languages like python or lua.
Fundamental knowledge is also required in game physics and game AI. Good knowledge in visualizing and concept tools like Photoshop or Paint.NET is beneficial and own production of digital games.
Experiences of crossway scientific education, development works and research in interdisciplinary areas within digital media technology and aesthetic matters is advantageous. Excellent group skills as well as a good command of the English language.
