GCDC 2007: Call for PapersGC Developers Conference (GCDC) The submission phase for conference contents has now begun. With immediate effect, the Leipzig Fair is calling for speaker and topic proposals for Europe’s most important game developer conference, GCDC, due to be held in Leipzig from 20 to 22 August 2007. Interesting keynote speeches and contributions are wanted, picking up on the new trends in the topic areas of Development, Business, and Science, and examining these from different angles. The need is for user reports, market insights and overviews, trend reports and evaluations of new technologies. Application papers and more detailed information on the Call for Papers can be accessed at www.gcdc-germany.com. This is now the fith time that game developers, publishers and academics from all over the world are expected at the GC Developers Conference. Immediately after the GCDC, on 23 August 2007, the GC (Games Convention) begins, Europe’s benchmark fair for interactive entertainment, infotainment and edutainment. Be Part of the GCDC - Student Assistants Sought The interest of the organisers in attracting student assistants shows that the GCDC can also be a springboard for the younger generation. GCDC 2006 retrospective From August 21-23, 2006, 650 conference participants from 20 countries attended GCDC. Speakers included Bob Bates (USA), Don L.
